Boycotting the Anti-Motorist High Street

anti motorist fines boycott high streets

If my custom isn’t welcome, it goes elsewhere

£160 for crossing an unmarked “restricted” road.

£80, if you pay fast.

A parking ticket in a park that clearly states “Free parking for motorcycles.”

And all of this in the name of “managing traffic.”

Let’s be honest — this isn’t management. It’s revenue raising, and motorists are the low-hanging fruit.

The Quiet War on Drivers

For years, snide little signs have appeared across our towns: “access only”, “restricted zone”, “no vehicles at these times.”

Not big, bold, can’t-miss-it warnings — but sneaky, deliberately confusing traps.

Each with a fine attached.

And we’re expected to swallow it as good for us.

The Trade Has Changed

Well, if that’s the game — then here’s my move:

I’m done.

No more trips to the local high street. No more coffees, no more small shop spending.

If my custom isn’t welcome unless I’m walking, cycling, or paying off a penalty notice, then I’ll take my trade to the places that still welcome vehicles — and the people who drive them.

Final Thought

High streets say they’re dying.

But maybe they’ve just been killing off the very people who kept them alive.

Hope isn’t what they promise you.
It’s how you carry on when they don’t deliver.
