When he paints <strong>on the Royal Courts of Justice<\/strong>, the world should ask <em>why<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The media line is predictable: tie it to the recent arrests around banned pro-Palestine movements. Convenient. Contained. A \u201ccurrent affairs\u201d box they can package up and move on from. But that\u2019s not the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The choice of canvas is the point.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Royal Courts of Justice isn\u2019t just a backdrop. It\u2019s the public face of state power in robes \u2014 where dissent is processed, punished, and given legal polish. Banksy put his mark <em>there<\/em> because the target isn\u2019t one protest. It\u2019s the <strong>machine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And how did the machine respond? They covered it. Wrapped it. Buried it. Not because it was graffiti, but because it was <strong>true<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t cover up a joke. You cover up an <strong>X-ray<\/strong>. And that wall became an X-ray of power: a picture of a system that protects itself, shames its critics, and punishes anyone who refuses to bow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Banksy didn\u2019t expose a single cause. He exposed <strong>Westminster\u2019s ecosystem of control<\/strong> \u2014 politics and law moving in step when dissent dares to speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their cover-up only proves his point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cHope isn&#8217;t what they promise you.
