Armour stops bullets \u2014 and also handshakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why there is \u201cno ending\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ending would require three shifts at once:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From victory to viability:<\/strong> Living alongside rather than \u201cwinning.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>From identity to institutions:<\/strong> Courts and protections that outlast leaders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>From absolutes to trade-offs:<\/strong> Imperfect, enforceable compromises.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peace looks less like triumph and more like predictably decent daily life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps the truest description of this conflict is not victory or defeat, but stalemate. Two peoples, two truths, one land. Each convinced they cannot yield without erasing themselves. History and law, faith and fear \u2014 all piled on the same few miles of earth. That is why this war has no ending.
