As a Londoner myself, living in West London all my life, I share here one solution to the problems that have recently exploded in London and many cities around the world.
This simple and easy to achieve solution can be replicated in your city and will, eventually, stop the rise in crime, stop the power hungry mayors imposing their will on the residents of said cities and make them a better place for all.
To often I have heard people say “yeah but its only me and I cant make a difference” well your wrong.
All it takes is for you and I to do this, share it with our friends and nudge them around to our way of thinking, examples below, and soon enough change for the better will arrive, and will not cost you a penny.
The solutions ?
Simply to stop going into London or your city and spending your money there on dining, entertainment, clothes or anything else it has to “offer”.
Dining out solution.
Mrs. C and I have stopped going into town and now spin the car 180 degrees and take our money out of town, driving not longer in time that it takes to drive in town under draconian anti vehicle road restrictions.
We get a friendlier service, wider choice and see buck loads of beautiful countryside scenery’s instead of dirty concrete voluntary prison cells painted up as “homes” reach for the sky.
Entertainment Solution.
Here I admit if your fave singer is not gigging outside of your city then this will need a mind change on your part. You have to decide if all the traveling effort either by car / bus / train is a price worth paying and then slap the three figure ticket price and over price beer / food, is that a price worth paying to see your fave act live ?
As an ex drummer of 35 years, I should be shouting from the roof tops “KEEP MUSIC LIVE” but to be honest, the powers that should not be and the greedy artists / management, have made what was once a fantastic way to spend an evening out a still have change for the bus fare home, into a financial nightmare and traveling slog that I and many others question its validity any more.
I know wait until the DVD or “download” of the live gig is made available and watch it at home and look further afield outside of cities for the thousands of places to go and engage with there are waiting to be discovered.
Shopping solution.
High street shops as replicated across all countries, where one high street blends into another, that getting out of towns and cites and visiting smaller villages brings to you a platter of unique and individual shopping experience’s that can not be found in the homogenized city state.
So how will this help change out cities back Dave?
All power mad councils and mayors need one thing and one thing only, money and a lot of it, to feed their tyrannies.
Us spending our money in the thiefdoms only feeds their insanity so removing our money and taking it where we are welcomed is an obvious way to crush their egos and powerhouses.
If we take out money from the retail and entertainment sectors within their realms, those businesses close and no money reaches the pockets of those who are against us. Their empire collapses.
No gain without pain.
As I am learning that there is no gain without pain on my quest to loose some pounds from my belly, the collapse of cities financially is needed to rid us of these ego bloated lunatics from power.
